Phyllis Bennis has points our Congress should study before deciding how much more money to give George and his industrious buddies.
Of course it would involve a committment to return Iraq to its people and promises to keep their greedy mitts off future developments, a leverage tool which has not even been considered by our PR skittish and in some cases, ‘just as’ corrupt representatives.
Bennis’ outline is very much in keeping with Dennis Kucinich’s exit strategy and his acknowledgement of the moral debt we owe Iraq and its people for the harm we’ve done.
To give the Bush administration one thin dime more at this point is effectively victimising the Iraqis all over again, just in a different way.
