Which foreign-aid recipient is the only one allowed to receive its aid in a lump sum and which routinely invests part of it in U.S. Treasuries so that taxpayers pay them interest on the taxpayers’ gift?
Israel.
Terrible enough that U.S. tax dollars enable brutal occupation in the name of a fundamentalist, racist government. The gift is so generous the Israelis can afford to invest a portion of it.
Israelis can also afford universal health care whilst Americans go without; police, build and expand illegal settlements whilst Americans are living in slums; build Jewish-only roads whilst U.S. roads and bridges are crumbling and collapsing.
Americans get what in return, besides left in the dark, because the Israelis and friends can also afford the means to smother discussion and detractors within its donor country?
