“Sunday, a breast destroyed America”

You’ve probably exceeded reasonable tolerance levels to assaults upon your gag reflex concerning Janet Jackson’s breast exposure during half-time at the Super Bowl, but I think you’ll find this one much more palatable.

For a while, after the atrocity of September 11, 2001, there was some speculation that finally, Americans might stop obsessing on celebrity marriages and facelifts and start paying attention to what truly goes on around the world.

Sunday, a breast destroyed America. About the same time, Sen. John Kerry’s qualifications for the Presidency were brought into question not because he voted to violate the Constitution by ceding Congress’ powers to the White House, but because he might have had Botox injections to smooth out the wrinkles in his face.

We truly have learned nothing.
