I could have accepted that Harry W. MacDougald, an Atlanta-based lawyer who helped draft the petition to disbar President Clinton, was able to determine and post within four hours of CBS’s airing of the Killian memos that they were forgeries. He appears to be a fervent and capable man up to the task. But you’d think this administration would have a team on the ready to scour anything new that comes along. And his refusal to answer questions about how he reached his conclusions so quickly suggests to me this grassroots detective work was a set-up. Why reveal the discovery in this way? My guess would be the WH fumbled the ball and played catch-up. They never make mistakes.
Buckhead is the alias MacDougald has been using in The Free Republic forum for the past two years. Maybe he should change it to Mole.
The LA Times has the story.
