The first question deals with Obama’s patriotism including her comment, “For the first time in my adult life I am really proud of my country.” Whoopi Goldberg makes the case that usually, when the quote is reported or is the subject of attack, the word “really” is edited. The original clip from Obama’s speech is shown to prove that point [05:41].
It’s interesting that MSNBC’s Dan Abrams, currently promoting statements made by John McCain that could easily be used against him as Obama’s quote has been used against her, shows what appears to be the same clip that Goldberg used but with the word “really” edited out.
