When Israeli forces stormed the Al Aqsa mosque during afternoon prayers on 9 February they used batons, bullets and gas against the worshipers. Dr. Marcy Newman, who lives in Beirut, writes that CNN International aired it live and the scenes were particularly tragic due to an earlier shut down by the IOF that allowed only men over the age of 45 and women to enter the mosque that day.
Newman felt compelled to write the post because she’d been told that CNN was not showing its U.S. viewers the same coverage.
