Well, Sudan is hot issue in teh news becuase the US is interested in full scale REGIME CHANGE — something they have already accomplished in the DRC.

The media and Pentagon are happy to demonize the Islamic Khartoum government, who is responsible for brutal atrocities, no doubt, but what the US media and government arent talking about are teh US arms and logistical support for Rebel militias from Chad, which are also perpetrating atrocities in Darfur. THe civilan humanitarian crsises is a product of war between two sides, effectively, of which teh US is a player in one. Of course, it is all very complicated, but entirely politicized by house and senate members.

    peace.
