Bush supporters are undoubtedly aping her tit-for-tat meme which I found highly offensive, as I did Bob Kerrey’s risible, egotistical reaction to the pre-emptive strike she lobbed on his 10-min. question period by praising I’m assuming this speech. I wonder if Bob, authour of the Iraq Liberation Act, was privy to the entirety of Hussein Kamel’s intelligence transcript when he wrote that speech? How many gov’t officials in the Clinton years possessed that knowledge? Yes, I’m a tad obsessed about that last question.
No surprises in her testimony, no hard-hitting questions. Who doesn’t know about the Aug. 6th PDB? Seemed to me she did little more than repeatedly assert that the Bush administration failed to act more aggressively in response to the terrorist threats because a) they weren’t specific b) they weren’t told to do more by some underling so why inconvenience the principals?
The most interesting statement was delivered by Kyle Hence, co-founder of 9/11 Citizens Watch, during the press conference following Condi’s performance.
Honesty never fails to elicit my gratitude.
