Election Hypocrisy

I doubt few liberals would have a problem pointing out the hypocrisy of George Bush appointing activist judges without Senate approval while decrying the role of activist judges in the gay marriages taking place in San Francisco . The New Mexico county that began issuing licenses Friday has agreed to stop since the state attorney general declared them invalid.

Yet where are the indignant when it comes to the irrational fear of a Ralph Nader candidacy in the 2004 election and the concept of free elections?

How can one criticise Bush’s interventions in Iraq’s election process and still get their tails in a knot about Ralph?

Reuters reports that partial results in what reformists branded a ‘rigged election’ show the hard-liners winning “43 of the first 83 constituencies declared, out of 289 seats contested on Friday.”
