Neocons to the rescue?

William Kristol appeared on C-Span’s Washington Journal this week.

The man is completely insane.

One caller basically told him the same [as did the majority]. She also stated her belief that the Bushies have captured Osama bin Laden and will bring him out for an election surprise sometime nearer November.

Kristol considers ‘conspiracy theories’, this one in particular, absurd. He ticked off numerous titles in the chain of command then went on to include the ‘millions of service people’ who would need to remain silent in order to pull this off. Does that seem reasonable, he asked?

Is it reasonable to assume all Americans are that stupid? I don’t know if they have OSB on ice, but it wouldn’t require ‘a conspiracy of millions’ to keep it under wraps.

He then went on to say that the Bush administration wouldn’t dream of politicising the ‘war’. He said it with a straight face.

Ken Mehlman sent out an excerpt of John Podhoretz’s latest pro-Bush column. They appear on a regular basis in the New York Post.

Apparently his opinion is so valuable you would need to purchase it to read it even though it was published just a few days ago.

I suggest you save your money unless you’re in the Bush pom-pom brigade and need a new cheer.

Instead I recommend two articles that are invaluable:

A Tragedy of Errors by MICHAEL LIND

The Neocon War on Peace and Freedom, Part 1 | Part 2
