Looking for Confirmation

When I was roaming the internet yesterday looking for information related to the Musharraf/Khan story, I happened across this translation of this article published in Spiegel, February 8, 2004.

I ran it through freetranslation.com as well with results close enough to consider the translation a good one.

Is Spiegel reliable? I’ve yet to see this published anywhere else.

The Secretary of State tried to play down the danger that fundamentalists in Pakistan or Al-Qaida fighters have purchased nuclear technology and could make use of it: “The danger isn’t very great. If I give plans to you, for example, could you build a bomb from it? If organized countries like Iran or Libya haven’t done it, it seems very improbable that the people from Al-Qaida could.”
