Ex Israeli Soldier and founder of “Breaking the Silence” Describes Moral Cost of Israeli Occupation of the West Bank to Washington and C-SPAN Audience
Foundation for Middle East Peace writes:
Yehuda Shaul, the leader of a group of former active duty Israeli soldiers who have created a large body of photographs and taken hundreds of testimonies of ex soldiers, spoke in Washington February 11, 2008 about their military service in the West Bank. Their experiences led to the creation of “Breaking the Silence.” Shaul’s testimony was moving and eloquent.
The event in Washington was sponsored by the Foundation for Middle East Peace, Brit Tzedek v’Shalom, and Americans for Peace Now, and was televised by C-SPAN. For those in the Washington area who missed the February 11 event, and all others, you can view it here on C-SPAN archived video.
