The Bush Family Fixer

The Independent reports of David Kay’s connections to SAIC [Science Applications International Corporation] informing some readers and reminding the rest that during his tenure there as VP he “claimed that Iraq could launch terrorist attacks on the US mainland.”

The article goes on to mention that the US government had given it [SAIC]a contract three years ago to produce mobile biological vans for training purposes and that it is ‘deeply involved’ in Iraq today enjoying a $650m contract for services and support for the US army. Among other activities, the company runs the US-funded radio station in Umm Qasr, “Voice of the New Iraq”, and helps to provide senior advisers to the US occupation authorities in Baghdad. It is not known if Mr Kay retains financial interests in SAIC.

For more on Kay, SAIC, its ties to Stephen Hatfill which the Independent took a miss on while reporting about the construction of the dummy labs this report filed by Cheryl Seal in July 2003 makes for a very interesting read.
