Yay Molly on her Hillary piece. Boo Hiss Molly, who when asked her opinion this morning on Washington Journal of Ramsey Clark’s ImpeachBush.org ad (pdf) running in today’s NYT, compared the impeachment of Clinton (for lying about a blow job) to impeaching Bush (for lying a nation into committing mass murder) saying the latter is equally unnecessary.
Brian Lamb started out the show taking calls on the Hamas victory. The callers were overwhelmingly in favour of the U.S. being fair to both sides if it must take any role at all. He then asked Nathan Guttman of the Jerusalem Post for an Israeli perspective on the 12-year prison sentence given Larry Franklin for “passing on classified information to two AIPAC employees and officials at the Israeli embassy.” Next week he’ll be interviewing Karl Rove for an insider’s perspective on Bush’s role in the Abramoff scandal.
Jonathan Steele urges Europe to forge an independent path and respect the Palestinians’ choice. He would have been an interesting and provocative guest. The Council for the National Interest observer delegation that included Ambassadors Ed Peck and Robert Keeley and CNI President Eugene Bird “will continue to interview both Palestinian and Israeli leaders about the election, and they will be available for interview by cell phone.”
