The increasingly alarming threat assessment

The Prudent Investor is suffering from Information Overload.

This is particularly astonishing:

“The time Iran needs to build a “nucular” bomb has shrunk from a decade to a few months according to MSM (commercial mainstream media)”

  1. I should have been a little bit more specific. I see this as a comparison to the warmongering in the run-up to the Iraq war. Remember the shifting reasons for that war, cumulating in Tony Blair’s statement that Saddam was able to poison European targets within 45 minutes.
This heat building up against Iran looks very similar. First Iran was a decade from the nucular (Bushspeak) bomb, and now it is allegedly only a few months. See the comparable propaganda!
I want to add that Iran is certainly prepared for any violent aggression, otherwise its president would not be that cheeky.
I finish with the reminder that there is never a winner in any war, at least not at the level of those who actually are at the front of it.

It seems I’m the one who should have been more specific. I agree with you. It’s alarming how quickly they’re ratcheting it up.

I’m not sure what you mean by Iran is prepared for violent aggression? If you’re talking nukes, I don’t think so. If you mean an attack on Iran would be devastating to the region and unleash the kind of chaos even the war machine would regret, I think that’s highly likely.

How should Ahmadinejad have acted then, considering the web of lies being spun around him? Complying with demands didn’t do Saddam any good. To this day – according to the “honest guys”- he defied them too.

  3. You must wonder why it is so urgent we stop Iran and not so much urgency for North Korea. Coincidently Iraq switched to PetroEuros and USA built up a case of WMDs to invade. Now Iran is planning to switching to PetroEuros (March) and USA is building up their ‘nucular’ case. When we invaded Iraq, we switched them back to PetroDollars.
These wars are about protecting the US Dollar.

I’ve been aware of the euro angle at least since Saddam. Gordon Prather’s latest is spot on regarding the Iranian Bourse. Scott Horton‘s put up an informative post today, too. Earlier this month Kevin Carson linked to some interesting opinions on the Fed’s announcement it plans to stop publishing figures for M3.
