In the November/December 2005 edition of Extra!, FAIR carries a piece by Steve Rendall titled Failing at Its “No. 1 Goal” Lack of balance at C-SPAN’s Washington Journal.
Rendall finds that Washington Journal, rather than living up to its highly lauded image of fairness, actually skews to the right not only in its selection of interview subjects but in its underrepresentation of women, people of color and public interest viewpoints.
This bias was never more apparent than last Friday when Brian Lamb read an unsourced e-mail that’s been circulating on the internet at least since 22 November, allegedly written by a student of the Naval War College, containing notes on a speech the authour says was given there recently by General Abizaid.
As yet, there is no solid evidence this speech even exists.
