Stop Taxpayer-funded Propaganda

Timothy Karr of MediaCitizen:

Media No Longer Taking Flak?

Lombardo joins Karen Ryan and Armstrong Williams as the poster children for the White House’s vast propaganda campaign. As more evidence comes into view, we’re able to assemble a case against an administration that has gone too far, involving a systemic and quiet campaign to manipulate the Fourth Estate and sell the electorate on presidential policies. Though, if Bush’s sagging approval rating is any guide, Americans are no longer buying.

Soldier Propagandist

Was Murphy like the other soldiers, giving Americans a “sincere” assesment from the field — as Scott McClellan claimed at his White House press briefing Thursday — or could he be part of a larger scheme to stack the media deck with propagandists who will spin the war to Bush’s favor? Let’s review the evidence.

Bush Launches New Flack Attack by Ward Harkavy, who in his most recent post cites a speech delivered by Rep. Ron Paul to the House on April 6, 2005. By sheer luck I caught Rep. Paul delivering a different speech recently. C-Span was on in another room and I heard words so alien to the forum I rushed in to see who it could be. Who else?

Truth-seeking politicians should not be an alien occurrence.
