Warrior Citizens

Burlington, IA – MOUNT PLEASANT – It has been five months since the soldiers of the 308th Quartermaster Company returned from service in Iraq, and they could have been honored at any time after that. Sunday, as the 308th soldiers’ names were called out, the company’s men and women walked across the stage accepting their awards: a United States flag in a triangular wooden case, a commemorative Warrior Citizen coin, a Warrior Citizen lapel pin and a Welcome Home Warrior flag. The 85 308 Quartermaster Company soldiers who could not make it to the ceremony will get the mementos in the mail.
