TomPaine notices T’s post here. It seems Rep. Richard Baker of Baton Rouge was overheard telling lobbyists: “We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn’t do it, but God did.”

He later explained he didn’t “intend flippancy”. None taken. I see it as evidence he’s either a raving lunatic or a sinister politician appealing to the least common denominator. Then again, most thugs in D.C. are guilty on both counts.
