{"id":95,"date":"2003-08-15T08:54:00","date_gmt":"2003-08-15T12:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/karmalised.com\/wordpress\/?p=95"},"modified":"2003-08-15T08:54:00","modified_gmt":"2003-08-15T12:54:00","slug":"switching-packages-isnt-a-cut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/karmalised.com\/?p=95","title":{"rendered":"Switching packages isn&#8217;t a cut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Undersecretary of Defense David Chu and Defense Department spokesman Lawrence Di Rita <a href=\"http:\/\/printerfriendly.abcnews.com\/printerfriendly\/Print?fetchFromGLUE=true&#038;GLUEService=ABCNewsCom\">answered critics<\/a> of yesterday&#8217;s reports that the Pentagon intended to cut both &#8220;imminent danger pay&#8221; and &#8220;family separation allowances,&#8221; increased only this year, by allowing them to expire. <\/p>\n<p>They claimed it was the Pentagon&#8217;s intention all along to offer different &#8216;incentive&#8217; packages but didn&#8217;t go into specifics about them.<\/p>\n<p>I suppose I have a problem with the assertion that &#8220;imminent danger pay&#8221; and &#8220;family separation allowance&#8221; isn&#8217;t specific enough.  <\/p>\n<p>What could these &#8220;incentives&#8221; be then?  Signing on for another tour?
