Ken Mehlman. His frenetic energy is akin to someone strung out on methamphetamine or in the manic phase of bipolar disease. The talking points he fired-off to the corpulent media slugs following last night’s VP debate were tired and not likely to appeal to anyone beyond Bush\/Cheney hardcore supporters. Who cares about Howard Dean, Ken. That’s yesterday’s victim. Your target audience prefers their blood warm.<\/p>\n

I’m likely wrong about this but the impact of Edwards’s performance last night won’t be felt for several days. His charm is novocaine masking the prick of the skin but his venom will work its way slowly into America’s bloodstream and undoubtedly claim new customers.<\/p>\n

I expected him to be a hawk on Israel. I wasn’t prepared for what I now fear is a real depth of conviction on his part, as opposed to campaign rhetoric, that Israel is a helpless victim who only acts in self-defense. There’s been a lot of chatter about the new hope that Edwards conveyed. I hope in this particular instance that this is the face that’s earned him millions and not representative of his core belief. I wouldn’t defend the view in court.<\/p>\n

Edwards’s influence partnered with the likes of Joe Biden and others would be powerfully destructive to any moves Kerry might make towards brokering a just and humane resolution in the region.<\/p>\n

For all of their combined credentials and informed opinions purveyed, what these idiots refuse to understand is untill they’ve managed to truly succeed in establishing a peacefull and secure so-called model of democracy in Israel they have absolutely no chance of succeeding in any other endeavour pursued in its name.<\/p>\n
