Ireland’s antiwar movement<\/a> is promising massive demonstrations of Bush’s planned visit to Ireland on June 25, 26.<\/p>\n

Unlike this weekend’s protests which are not expected to draw the number of participants witnessed during last year’s antiwar demos, anti-war groups are promising to bring Ireland to a halt when Bush visits there in June.<\/p>\n

Last night, while waiting for C-Span’s coverage of a Kerry rally that never transmitted due to technical difficulties, I viewed a session of Ireland’s Parliament during which its prime minister was dealt a brilliant and blistering round of questions concerning Bush’s visit. Among those that were never entirely answered was the charge that antiwar demonstrators will be impeded by authorities.<\/p>\n
