One of these instances occurred on Nov. 30, 2006, in Ann Arbor, Michigan\u2014home of the University of Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of that protest, Dr. Catherine Wilkerson, a respected community physician who provides medical care to working-class people at a local clinic, was charged with two crimes stemming from an encounter with local and campus police.
