I heard about this <\/a>on the radio this morning. Bush[?] has ordered the Pentagon to put regular Iraqis on the front lines in the areas where the US is taking the most heat. Some of these ‘militiamen’ are reportedly teenagers. Can you imagine? How can the world at large let this liar send children to fight their uncles, cousins, brothers and fathers in the name of their occupier? I expect I understand how the world came to be so heartless and unfair but when will it turn around? I suppose I keep expecting a leader to come along that makes sense, not here in the U.S. necessarily but anywhere, and I just don’t understand why no one is stepping up to fill that void.<\/p>\n

And why is ‘Bush’ putting Iraqis on what are according to him the most sensitive border patrols? If as he’s been saying more and more that Syria and Iran are sending ‘terrorists’ into Iraq at these points, would you give the job to people you don’t trust enough to lay a pipeline or build a school?<\/p>\n

Did I mention these kids will only be getting a few weeks of training?<\/p>\n

Just the other day <\/a>Rumsfeld argued, again, that the cost and time involved in training new recruits is not feasible.<\/p>\n

So are he and Bush now saying they intend to send these people into the line of fire knowing full well they are easy targets?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
