As Zapatista Subcomandante Marcos continues his tour of the Mexican republic, meeting with people in each one of the Mexican states to build a new democracy “from below,” the struggles of that country’s political prisoners have become an ever more important part of the “Other Campaign.” Today, watch the latest video newsreel from the Other Journalism video team, which recounts Marcos’ visit to the Ixcotel state prison in Oaxaca. At Ixcotel, Marcos met with prisoners of conscience and their families and began developing a proposal to work for their release.<\/p>\n
