Either traffic has subsided or bandwidth has been extended because it doesn&#8217;t seem to be a problem now.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldlinktv.com\/\">Link TV<\/a> is pre-empting regularly scheduled shows to include it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldlinktv.com\/programming\/programDescription.php4?code=date_abu\">in the current rotation<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldlinktv.com\/programming\/programDescription.php4?tz=0&#038;code=lifting\">on 23 February will include<\/a>, in a four hour programme examining &#8220;torture and killing of prisoners, rendition, and extralegal imprisonment &#8211; even against our own citizens,&#8221;  other material previously aired by the <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sbs.com.au\/dateline\/index.php?page=about\">innovative, award-winning<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sbs.com.au\/dateline\/index.php\">Dateline<\/a>.  Rousset&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linktv.org\/programming\/programDescription.php4?code=date_lifting\">Lifting the Hood<\/a>, and Bronwyn Adcock&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.karmalised.com\/archives\/001205.html\">The Italian Job<\/a>,  <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sbs.com.au\/dateline\/index.php?page=archive&#038;daysum=2005-11-09\">originally aired by Dateline<\/a> on 9 November 2005, will be featured in the first two hours.  The second half will feature journalist Carmela Baranowska&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talibancountry.com\/\">Taliban Country<\/a>, a film presented <a href=\"http:\/\/203.15.102.143:8080\/ramgen\/media\/dl_110408a.rm\">in a Dateline report<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sbs.com.au\/dateline\/index.php?page=archive&#038;artmon=08&#038;fyear=2004#\">11 August 2004<\/a>, to show that there were &#8220;allegations of bizarre tactics being used by US marines in Afghanistan, as recently as June,&#8221; as U.S. officials were blaming torture on a few bad apples in Abu Ghraib and claiming it stopped there.<\/p>\n<p>Baranowska has since been tracking U.S. interrogation and detention policies on the blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talibancountry.com\/blog\/\">truth and consequences<\/a>, where co-blogger Janet Gunter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talibancountry.com\/blog\/2006\/02\/road-to-guantanamo.html\">tells of a film<\/a> that has yet to be scheduled for release in the U.S. but will debut 6 March in the UK.  Michael Winterbottom&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.variety.com\/review\/VE1117929622?categoryid=31&#038;cs=1&#038;nid=2562\">The Road to Guantanamo<\/a> is the true story of four British Muslims who&#8217;d travelled to Pakistan for a wedding where three of the young men were captured by bounty hunters and eventually shipped to Guantanamo Bay.  One of the group fell behind in Kunduz as the friends attempted to escape an ensuing battle and has not been heard from since.  The Tipton Three were first heard from in <a href=\"http:\/\/observer.guardian.co.uk\/print\/0,3858,4879508-102285,00.html\">a series of reports<\/a> by David Rose published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.karmalised.com\/archives\/000410.html\">in 2004<\/a> by the <em>Guardian Observer<\/em>.   They tell of the &#8220;truck container&#8221; massacre by the Northern Alliance they survived and the torture and other horrors endured first in an Afghan jail then during their more than two year detention in Guantanamo.  <\/p>\n<p>As I&#8217;m writing this I&#8217;m listening to Robert Fisk speak about his new book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randomhouse.com\/catalog\/display.pperl?isbn=9781400041510\"><em>The Great War for Civilisation<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.informationclearinghouse.info\/article11105.htm\">a speech<\/a> that is part of the special <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldlinktv.com\/programming\/programDescription.php4?code=green\">Iraq: Beyond the Green Zone<\/a>.  In the second half of that four hour presentation, Dahr Jamail will discuss his first-hand accounts during the airing of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linktv.org\/programming\/programDescription.php4?code=sparrows\">The Dreams of Sparrows<\/a>. Just one of many examples, page 44 of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gwu.edu\/~nsarchiv\/NSAEBB\/NSAEBB122\/#kubark\">1983 KUBARK manual<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gwu.edu\/~nsarchiv\/NSAEBB\/NSAEBB122\/CIA%20Human%20Res%20Exploit%20H0-L17.pdf\">pdf<\/a>) reveals corrections made to the text that acknowledge techniques used today were considered illegal.
