If we’re going to link every client at Greenberg Traurig to Abramoff, then to merely pick out all the Indians is no more than inherently racist. Instead, let’s tar and feather the lot of them, from Eli Lilly, to Merck, to the City of Oakland, to Coors, to JC Penney, to Fannie Mae, to NeuLevel (Eric’s old company). The list goes on, a few hundred clients, many of whom paid fees comparable to those bilked from tribal governments. And each one of those clients also made contributions, probably overwhelmingly to Republicans – if we play this game with those rules, each and every one should be donating those contributions to their favorite charity. Neh?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I’m not sure what “Neh” means but to the question of whether this investigation is too narrow and should include all of these clients then my opinion is an affirmative hell, yeah.<\/p>\n

Update<\/u>: MB<\/a> flags this report<\/a> that says “Former Superior Court of Guam Administrative Director Anthony Sanchez has withdrawn his nomination to serve on the governor’s Cabinet.”<\/p>\n

Bush<\/a>, Abramoff<\/a>, Guam, oh my. A story<\/a> buried within the pages of the LA Times<\/em> last August revealed that “Abramoff was paid with a series of $9,000 checks funneled through a Laguna Beach lawyer to disguise the lobbyist’s role working for the Guam court.” When “A U.S. grand jury in Guam opened an investigation more than two years ago,” President George “removed the supervising federal prosecutor and the inquiry ended soon after.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
